DURHAM, NC (November 16, 2015) – Measurement Incorporated, a leader in educational assessment, is proud to announce a partnership with Blackboard through its college writing practice program, PEG Writing Scholar. PEG Writing Scholar will be available to Blackboard users as Blackboard Learn and Moodlerooms extensions, allowing them to easily write and receive feedback on essays.
PEG Writing Scholar launched in pilot form in fall 2014 and is designed to help college students develop effective writing skills. It will be available during the 2015-2016 school year to all college students. PEG Writing Scholar helps students prepare for college-level and professional writing with exercises that direct them to write for a specific task, audience, and purpose. Students can choose from a variety of prepackaged prompts or respond to a custom prompt designed by an instructor. All essay submissions receive an immediate writing score and automatic feedback, with additional learning opportunities available through interactive tutorials, peer review, and instructor/student collaboration.
“We are pleased to have Measurement Incorporated join Blackboard’s vibrant community of partners, which enables institutions to customize their systems and gives them great flexibility in how they improve and shape the education experience,” said Kathleen Vieira, Vice President of Business Development at Blackboard. “This partnership allows faculty and students to seamlessly experience the powerful benefits of PEG Writing Scholar through the learning platforms most familiar to them.”
Using Blackboard and PEG Writing Scholar, instructors and students can take advantage of multiple opportunities to collaborate and work together toward common educational goals. The PEG Writing Scholar integration will be available to Blackboard Learn and Moodlerooms users this fall.
